After update - search and my computer not working

Xp SP2 i downloaded and installed the updates today. When i click on my
computer it opens enought to bring up the pop up window saying windows
explorer encountered a problem and needs to shut down. this also happens
when i try and run a search on files on folders. No matter how i try to
access my computer i get the same result. I have clicked on the debug
bottom to no avail.
