After updates, now can't connect to Internet

Hello there

I have a new notebook. Connected to Internet went for MS updates.

Now I cannot connect to Internet at all.

I have tried restoring to a previous setting but this hasn't helped.

Any ideas?

hi ,
on a couple of occasions i had been unable to connect to the internet and
found I had to adjust the clock and date in the system tray..
did that and I could connect.
hope this helps in some way.
