After Windows SP-2 Update

My computer Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)is configured
to "Obtain IP and DNS server address automatically". When
I update my XP from SP1 to SP-2. I could not make any
network connection.

Even If I provide a private Internet Protocol I am not
able to connect to network.

I revert back to SP1..

i have absolutely the same problem please tell me what can i do about it!! i
really want to use the SP2 but it is impossible for me as i need my internet
connection
