After XP SP2, system won't Restart (but Shut Down & Start separately works)

Hi,

I reinstalled/reformatted my OS. Thn immediately
installed SP2 off a CD. Since then my system's "restart"
feature does not seem to work. I can shut down, and then
start the system fresh - no problem there. But when I try
to "Restart" the system hangs after shut down and trying
to restart on its own.

Any thoughts? Thanks!!
