I received my ThinkPad R61 last night running Vista Business 64 bit. I
am very pleased with the computer. I am also quite pleased with Vista
so far. It connected to my Airport network without any problem and I
was surfing the net right away.

I have an HP LaserJet 1300 connected to the Airport base station and
with the Mac I printed via Rendezvous. Is there a way to use the same
set up for wireless printing with Vista? I searched the Apple web
site, and surprise surprise, information about Airport and Windows was
pretty sparse.

I don't have an Airport base station even though I have a MacBook, but I
assume that it is just the same as any other wireless router. The thing
to understand is that it doesn't matter whether your computers are
connected to the Local Area Network (LAN) wired or wirelessly so
installing the printer isn't any different for either situation. You've
got a network printer (one not connected to any computer but sitting
directly on the LAN) so you need to install it on the new computer. This
doesn't have anything to do with Apple.

From the new laptop, go to HP's website and download the printer
drivers for Vista. Install them. During the installation routine you
will be asked how the printer connects - via network or locally with
USB. Obviously you will pick "network". Then the installer will search
for that HP printer on the network, find it, and install it.
