ALL Contacts are offline after changing Live ID

Hello, i got a problem after changing the Live ID. The contact lists ar
all gone offline even i know they should be online. While reading som
posts, I change back to the old ID but i found that the email of my ol
ID was not avaliable any more. Therefore i can not verify the email o
my old ID. What should i do now ? Thank

Barrin,

I am experiencing the same problem! I switched from using my yahoo email
address as my login for Live to a newly opened Live Mail account. Since the
switch, I haven't been able to communicate with any of my contacts. They all
appear offline. It would be great if Microsoft Support could look into this.

it takes about a week or two for your contacts to update to your new ID

4 weeks here after migration - still doesn't work
So to me it seems like this part is just broken in new Live platform :
