Thank you Robert. I discovered that the Windows Firewall was off. So I
turned it on and changed the settings as described on one of many sites I
found during a search. (Sorry, I was so excited I don't remember which site,
but it was one of the first on a google search of: ccApp.exe hang shutdown).
I also removed an HPlamp file from loading at start up. I figured this was
for my scanner and I rarely use that. But Security Task Manager, which one
site recommended trying, said that this file resembled spyware.
Anyway, my computer seems to shut down faster than ever and that makes me
very happy!
