I tried the advice listed above...specifically, I
....removed the MSN Messenger
key from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Went to Start, run, and typed regedit
Once in Registry editor, navigated to the key listed above, and deleted the
MSN Messenger key.
Once that is done, reinstalled Windows Live Messenger...
My results: First login I received the 81000395 error, retried & it
logged-on but all contacts were listed OFFLINE... my most consistent
problem... I verified that a contact was, indeed, online. None of the many
mentioned patches seem to resolve this problem. Also, I hae no policies
folder in my regedit key for MSN Messenger, so I couldn't try that.
I am a week without ability to use this program. My OEM Messenger program
has the same problem... All contacts are listed as offline and I cannot
communicate with them. What to do?????
