I am not an expert but an ordinary PC user like everyone and would like to
share my experience with you in the hope that some of the informations may be
helpful to you.
First and foremost create a Recovery Disc and keep it safe and do not switch
off the System Recovery utility.
Do not remove the bloatware came with your PC unless you are desperate for
space in your Hard disc,if and when you remove them do it one by one
monitoring the response of the PC.
If you couldn't get SP1,don't loose your sleep over it because it is not for
the benefit of the user and it is designed to stop the user using other free
third party softwares and tools(in my opinion anyway and remember I am not an
expert).
Do not rely solely on the advices and do your own research as well because
these so called advisers haven't provided me with tangible proof of their
competence.
Most of them hail vista as the best but wouldn't say why.

If you ask any questions, they will blame you first for not asking the
question properly and point you to a website to learn how to ask questions.
Then they will request the third party software details and blame them.
Now the turn of your hardware incompatibility which creates the problem.
When everything fails they will accuse you of being an Ubuntu user.
I suspect these so called experts use Ubuntu or some thing and pretend to be
Vista experts and trying to damage the image of Vista.
However, there are many helpful sites available and one of them is:
www.vistax64.com
If you do the basic housekeeping maintenance you will do fine.
All the best

I think you really need to wipe Vista from your machine as you don't
have the smarts to run it. Your best bet is to hook up with Alias and
he can get you going on Ubuntu. That seems more your speed.

How do you create a recovery disk? I don't have a floppy drive, so it'd
have to be on a bootable CD, but I can't find creation procedures anywhere
in Windows help. Step by step instructions will be appreciated.

One thing I forgot to mention,do not get serious about the advices given
either by Frank or Bill, I have never seen any advice given by either of them.
They are more interested in Farm animals than Vista.
Vista is crap and we have to put up with it until someone comes up with a
fantastic OS.
If a system is defended by people like Frank and Bill, definitely it must be
crap.

Example for HP and/or Compaq systems:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...t=3562664&lang

Check your system manufacturer's documentation (hard drive, CD, DVD or
website) for details on your particular unit.

Try google asshole...if you know how!

Look you pile of ****...if you knew what you were doing the very fist
thing you would have done is to flatten your HDD on first boot, and then
re-installed only Vista.
But you seem far too stupid to comprehend any real, valid suggestion
like that, so etch-a-sketch is the best bet for you...if you can even
handle that toy!...LOL!

Smarts? You and Frank use it, so how smart do you have to be? Fact is
Microsoft dumbed down Vista to moron level so losers like you two can
pretend you know how to use it.
