All Updates List

Is there somewhere that I can get a list of all updates for Windows? Our
group needs to determine what the proper patch level for all of our machines
should be and I need to see a list of everthing in a readable format.

I know about the update catalog, but is there just a list somewhere than can
be put into like an excel spreadsheet or into a word document?
