Allow messages to mobile device - greyed out

In Windows Live Messenger I have a Windows mobile account set up with Bell
Mobility. I have received the confirmation SMS message and replied, I can
log in to my Live account and my Live Mobile account.

People can not send message to me. In Tools - Options - Phone I can't check
of the box "Allow people on my contacts list to send messages to my mobile
device" because it is greyed out.

I have tried deleting my mobile account and creating a new one. I have
e-mailed Live Messsenger tech support an dthey have been no help whatsoever.

Any suggestions?

Greetings,

Exactly how long have you waited? Sometimes the settings from mobile to Messenger will take
several days to appear.

It's been weeks. We have one other account in our household with Windows
Live Messenger that works fine on another cellular number, same service
provider.

Customer service tells us we do not have a Windows Live Mobile Account and
kep telling us to:

1. Start Windows Live Messenger.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3. In the Options dialog box, click Phone, and then click Mobile Settings.
4. Follow the instructions to sign up for a Windows Live Mobile account.

Then they tell us to:

1. Start Windows Live Messenger.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3. In the Options dialog box, click Phone.
4. Click the Allow people on my contact list to send messages to my mobile
device check box.

We do this over, and over, and over, and over and every time the option to
select "allow people on my contacts list to send messages to my mobile
device" is grayed out.

We e-mail Customer support back, get a new person and the vicious cycle
starts over and over.

I'm guessing this has been an issue for about a year now with no way to fix it. I did what I've read everywhere about restarting computer, etc. This is another phone I signed up for this on MSN Messenger and it's the same deal, no one can send messages to my cell phone.. WHY? Where did that person go from Microsoft that left the first message? I've been on the MSN website with no advice for this anywhere. Why can't this be fixed?? I'm not online that much but at night and this is a serious issue needing fixed so I can keep in contact all day, not just when I'm online.. HELP!!
