Almost had enough

Thanks to Vista, I have almost had enough of Windows. The software is slow,
and even bundled applications regularly crash out of the box. The driver
vendors have trouble putting together a package that works properly. The
inbuilt paranoia level is beyond acceptable. Microsoft seem to have
succeeded only in putting together a package that will take a powerful
machine and grind it down to its knees. Even my XP box, with far far lesser
specs, beats the living pants off my Vista box, and with far better
stability and reliability. This latest version of Windows truly deserves the
old name of Windoze.

I will wait for Service Pack 1, but if that does not see an improvement,
then after many years of Windows in its various incarnations and versions I
will be seriously looking at Linux as an alternative.

Why do you post to a NG and whine like this?

I have been using Vista since 04/2007, and I don't have any problems using
it. I guess it's based on who is behind the wheel and doing the driving.

I suggest that you don't let the door knob hit you in your behind on the way
out.

Tried Ubuntu (among many) but actually prefer Xandros (I have 3 computers,
networked, one of which is reserved for experimenting/trialing various
versions of Linux). That, however, does not solve the issue with Vista. I
will wait for service pack 1, remembering issues that previous versions of
Windows have had at first release.

And why do you, who supposedly are here to help people, actually use the
newsgroup to denigrate other people and their opinions. Unable to deal with
criticism, are we?

I don't give a rat's behind about it. I use Linux too and don't have a
problem with MS or Linux platforms.

You're just one of these people that needs to whine, which I suspect you do
in everyday life too.

The reality is that you're no one and don't let the knob hit you on the way
out with your whining.

You should take a couple of aspirin and go lay down on the couch, and maybe,
in a couple hours you'll have a fresh outlook.

It is sad that every group seems to have someone with an elitist attitude.
Made even worse when combined with a sarcastic tongue. Compounded by an
arrogant attitude. Now that I know you, I know that I can ignore you.
Good\night, Mr Arnold.

the op is complaining about a low quality product, and he is correct in
doing so.
YOU are the one whining about people that are expressing their opinions.
You're just one of these people that needs to whine, which I suspect you do
in everyday life too.
I suggest that you stick with your linux and windows machines, and do not go
into places where you have to interact with real people.

's OK. I just stick people like him on ignore. There has to be one in every
group.

As I have said in earlier posts, I am hopeful that the first service pack
will address all these issue. I see consistent feedback here and elsewhere
about the same problems I am having. Does anyone have any updated news on
the service pack (last I heard, about September)?

Neither one of you *clowns* would know a low quality anything if it hit both
of you dead in your faces.
