almost no power plan options work

I'm trying to use a custom plan and none of the options work. It won
sleep, hibernate, hybrid sleep, or turn off the hard disk when I set i
to. All it will do is turn off the display when I set it to

Any suggestions

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time things
worked and the time they didn't?

If power options never worked and this is an OEM machine, are all drivers
and power management software updated? Check on the OEM's website for your
specific model computer.

If this is an OEM machine and the answer to the above is yes, what does the
OEM's tech support have to say?

If this is a home-built/generic desktop, provide some details about the
system. In general, providing more information about your computer and the
issue will get you focused help.
