Already have these updates

Windows update is telling me that I need these updates kb834707 which is sp1
and under add/remove programs it is listed 3 times and when I try to remove
one of them it does nothing. It is also telling me that I need kb828741 nad
kb840987 which I already have. The problem is that it seems like it won't
check for other updates other than these until I install them. When I try to
install them it just says failed and no error message. When I open the
windows update log it says pruned out due to potential supersedence under
each update. Thank you to anyone who can help.
