Hi, I'm trying to get the 'alt.windows-xp' usenet group archived with
my provider and they need the group 'control message' to accomplish
that. Would anyone happen to know what the control message is for
alt.windows-xp ???

Sorry for the cross post.

Chris

cmsg newgroup

But that won't fix the problem. Your provider is a ****ing idiot who
probably takes their NNTP feed from some cheapskate upstream who doesn't
carry all groups.

alt newsgroup creation

How to write a good newgroup message
http://www.gweep.ca/~edmonds/usenet/good-newgroup.html

*Reputable* newsgroup providers will not add an alt
newsgroup to their list unless a control message for it is
properly archived.
