I've never, ever had one problem with any updates on three machines with
XP and on one machine that went from 95 to Me. Besides, I said set it to
download but let *me* decide what and when to install. I didn't
recommend letting Windows install them automatically without user
intervention. I recommend that you disable your AV before installing
*anything* which means that user intervention is essential. I also
recommend that you do a clean up/chkdsk/defrag before installing
anything and do it again after the installation is done.
