Alternative to Synctoy

I like Synctoy a lot for its simplicity but unfortunately it will not
replicate directory structures if I delete a directory on the source. All I
want to do is to ensure files on my desktop and external HD are
synchronised. I have always used Synchromagic which does what I want but it
doesn't work with Vista (or my version doesn't) and I don't see why I should
pay for it again. Can anyone suggest any good free sync/replication tools
that work on vista.

TIA

Jon

look for allway sync, might be little complicated at first but you can do so
much more and to me has a friendly user, plus it's free

Thanks, looks good but I would have to pay for that with the number of files
I would be synching over 30 days.

You might take a look at Robocopy. It is included with Vista.

It runs in a cmd window, but there is a GUI for it somewhere on the 'net.
robocopy /? for all the options
