AMD / ASUS issue

I just put an AMD 2600 Sempron CPU on an ASUS A7N8X VM/400 board, Win XP is
recognizing the CPU as a 2200+ running at 1.83Ghz. Is this normal? Should it
not be showing 2600+ instead? There are no settings to change clock speed or
FSB.
Looking for information on this.

Here is a chart of what the Sempron processors run at it looks like yours is
running as it is suppose to as to it reading as 2200+ see if there is a bios
update from asus

I checked the Asus page and yes there is a bios update for the chip
