And sidebar gadget that hooks into Windows Calendar?

I like Windows Calendar but I also like being able to glance at the screen
at any time to see what's coming up.

With Windows XP I accomplished that with a very nice program called
Rainlendar: <http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php>.

I used DesktopCoral to keep that side of the desktop from being
overwritten:

I really like Windows Calendar but dislike having to run it all the time to
see what's coming up for me. An ideal solution would be a gadget that
hooks into the Windows Calendar to show what's happening all the time.

Even better, since you can subscribe to a Google calendar with Windows
Calendar, you can add an event to your Google calendar from one location
and have it visible on your Vista sidebar without any trouble when you get
back home.

Windows Calendar doe not really run all the time.
it depends on Scheduled Tasks program running to activate in on its schedules to show you what happening.

if you run windows calendar and then look at Task Manager, you will see it essentially uses NO resources.
