AT&T Tilt WM6.1 Calendar does not synchronize with Exchange Server

I use Exchange Server ActiveSync to synchronize my mobile phone with
Exchange 2003.

I synchronize Calendar, Tasks, Contacts and e-mails.

I upgraded the AT&T Tilt from WM6 to WM6.1.

After the upgrade, The device receives all updates from the Exchange Server,
but changes or new appointments in the WM6.1 device's calendar return an
error: "cannot synchronize appointment" when synchronizing.

Has anybody seen this?
Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

Is it providing a specific error in ActiveSync on the device? It should be
a rather lengthy error code when you tap on More Information in ActiveSync.
Using that error code can tell us what's really going on.

Thanks,

Hi,
Try unchecking the option to sync the Calendar, then re-check it. Note:
you will lose any pending appointments that have not been synchronized.

Unfortunatelly, it only says "appointment cannot be synchronized", no error
code.

One more thing, If I unselect "Calendar" from the options to synchornize
with Exchange ActiveSynch, it removes all appointment except the ones it
cannot synchonize.

Thanks for your comments.

I tried that, it removes all appointments except the ones that cannot be
synchronized.

If I check it again, it only synchronizes from the Exchange Server to the
device and again gives an error for the ones created in the device.

thanks for your comments.

Hi,
Try asking your network administrator for assistance with the Exchange
account. Some steps I recommend include setting up a test account and
synchronizing with it, as well as checking the Exchange account's settings.

In addition to Chris' suggestion, you may also may have a corrupt calendar
event in your calendar that is causing the issue. Try to sync the minimum
possible (2 weeks). If it synchronizes then you know that you have a
corrupt event beyond 2 weeks.

Regards,

Thanks,
I am also the Exchange Administrator.
All WM6 devices work perfectly, only the WM6.1 has the problem.
About corrupt events:
The problem comes from any appointment created or modified in the WM6.1
device. All appointments created in exchange are sent to the WM6.1 device.

BTW, all other items (e-mail, tasks and contacts) can be modified in the
WM6.1 device and the changes synchronize to exchange.

Isn't this weird?

thanks for your ideas,
if you can think of something else, please let me know.

I posted this same question in another group and several have the same
problem.

Anyway, one person posted a work around.
This person claims that the problem has to do with daylight savings time.
His work around is that after the appointment is created in the mobile
device and it cannot synch, change the time zone location on the mobile
device to something else and back to the correct one. this will fix the
problem, at least until the following day.

I have not ried this work around since I downgraded my phone to WM6 so that
I can use it.

I will try this work around today a post the results.

thanks for all your comments.

Apparently, this is a know issue with the AT&T Tilt after upgrading to
WM6.1.

Funny thing is that I had already called HTC and they had told me that they
had no knowledge of this problem.

Don't you hate that?

anyway, thanks for your comments.
