Before I switched from Vista to 7, and also added windows live email, my
animated icons were animated when sent in emails. Now with "Live" the icons
are only non-moving pictures. Any help out there?
Thanks

Are they moving when you add them to the e-mail? If not try using a different
animation program. You can download animated ones from "smileycentral.com

They /will/ be animated after you send. (Send a test to yourself). I don't
know if there are any other tricks.

The pictures will not be animated in the compose window.
You can see the animation in Sent items or if you save to Drafts.

Ron. While I got your attention.

1: I add animation via: Insert | Image | Inline. It is /not/ animated in
Drafts.

2: I create a new message with a link. The link does not work in Drafts.

Both work when sent. Am I doing this wrong? Especially the links? I often
want to save a new link to Drafts to make sure it worked before sending
it. Not a problem with OE.

Thanks, Ron. Any way to get a link to work before you send it?

I was mistaken.
I can insert an animated gif in a signature or in stationery and it is
animated in the compose window.
If I Insert, Image, Inline, the gif is not animated in the compose window
or in Drafts. I suspect that having the resize handles has something to
do with the lose of animation.

In the compose window,
Ctrl + click
Holding Ctrl changes the cursor to a hand.
The link is not clickable in the Reading pane.

Mine are always moving whether I'm inserting from the ones provided by live
mail or from smiley central.

Are we sure the op isn't referring to animated emoticons when composing in html. They do show up with animation intact in the
composition window.
