Announcement: I just received an E-mail from Microsoft that says the
following: Effective December 22nd, 2006, Microsoft's XBOX 360 now comes
with a 1 Year Warranty from the Date of Purchase, for both new and existing
customer's, Just FEI (For Everyone's Information).

The joys of living in Europe means we get 1 year minimum by law. It is a
shame other areas cannot adopt the same consumer rights policies.

Although the warranty should've been a year to begin with-
I do commend Microsoft for doing this. They will be refunding
a whole bunch of money for those who had to pay for repairs.
I believe folks should start seeing their refunds in about 4 to 8 weeks.

1/ Europe has this as standard on ALL new products.
2/ The XBox360 needs it's, as it's unreliable junk at the best of times..
(Red Ring of Death, Firmware updates bricking consoles, disk reading isues
and catching fire mains leads.)
