Hi;
KB867282 is a fairly significant update. Without more info I have no
guesses on why Explorer crashes on your system, but I encourage you to find
out why and with the resolution get this update installed.
Considering your system may already be unstable, I recommend you do a full
AV and malware scan; clean out all your Temp folders; empty your browser
TIF; delete any WUTemp folders that exist on your system; and then manually
download this update and attempt to install it. You can check this site and
download the version that applies to your Windows and IE combination:

If you continue to have errors even when installing manually, please attempt
to copy down exact error messages and error numbers you see, and that you
may find in the corresponding .log files. Then post back here with that
error information. BTW, when you post back be sure to tell us what version
of Windows you are using, what version of IE, and if your system is
standalone or part of a network.
