Another SP2 question

My daughter has been very remiss with care of her HP 700 home pc. It
has XP only, and I have followed the many helps here, adding Spysweeper,
updating her AV and cleaning up old files, etc. I have been to the HP
site for SP2 to update drivers, read and studied MS site for preparing
for SP2. That site says SP1 is included in the update.

I have not seen and do not know about BIOS on that information.

I have a disk from MS with SP2, but when I did her MS update checks, I
find that SP2 is now downloaded and is in the notification area to be
clicked and installed. So I am unsure whether that is the full update I
need or whether I should install that or use the disk. Appreciate the
great helps from this group.

As long as the computer is free of viruses, spyware and other malware as
well as operating properly, you should be OK installing SP-2 from the
current download.
Functionally that would be identical to the CD.
It is just a smaller download because only the necessary components for her
computer are actually downloaded.

SP-2 includes SP-1 as well as everything released since SP-1 up to the
release date of SP-2.
