Hi,
If you aren't running a VM, then it uses no memory. Virtual PC is only
supported on Business and Ultimate, but will run on Basic and Home Premium.
Once installed, follow the steps to create a virtual machine which include
allocating space and then installing your first OS (and in the case of XP
it's easy as all you do is capture the CD drive and follow the prompts).
