Anti Virus

I just installed Vista Beta 2 - I had to remove the AVG program I had on the
machine - any ideas on a good AV program that is Vista compatible??

Avast! Home Edition (which is free but requires registration) works fine on
32bit Vista.

When I installed Vista I got the little red X that popped up saying I had no
virus protection and to click the box to solve the problem. Well, it seems
that among the links that under the Windows Vista test program there is 2
Virus checkers available for free that normally need to be purchased. One
was eTrust EZ Antivirus. I can't recall the other one off hand but the
eTrust one is the one I grabbed and installed. The license will last as long
the license for the Vista beta test so it works out great.

just in case you wanted to use PC Tools antivirus it does not work on the
windows vista2 32-bit verion even though i asked them if it would work
before i installed it,

Personally I would steer clear of eTrust, it had many issues in XP..god
knows what it will do in Vista

Are you referring to EZTrust? eTrust AV 7.1 is a stable and reliable
product on XP and XP Pro x64. EZTrust is the one from the Home group and
eTrust is the one from the Small and Medium Business group at CA. They are
very different products.

Nope eTrust the one from Computer Associates..most of the problems I've seen
were in unistalling it, where it simply refuses to uninstall.
