The corporate website is pushing the AntiSpyware beta hard.

For users with the beta offerings enabled, perhaps WU would
be willing to admit that the AntiSpyware beta exists.

WU is for final releases, beta is short for test. I just
download the beta and did a full scan, it found 3 threats in
about 10 locations, even though I have just done full scans
with Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.05 and SpyBot S&D .

Will see how it works out.

Michael;
I am not sure what the requirements are, but clearly not all Beta software
should be offered through Windows Update.
This most likely only applies to Beta of Updates such as SP-2 shortly before
it was released.

You can set WU to inform you of Beta offerings.
I've done that. I'm irritated that WU has decided
to overlook the (ta-da!) Big New Thing.

Sometimes MSFT steels itself to examine these postings.
My message in a bottle was on the off chance they'd notice.
Certainly the beta is arguably inappropriate for WU, but
on the other hand, where is the harm in beta listing it?

Michael;
In that case, there are options to directly contact Microsoft for
suggestions:

I usually use that to howl, rather than help.
OK - here's what I sent: Windows Update

A feature of WU is permitting listings of available betas.
The Microsoft AntiSpyware beta1 is not listed at WU.
If this is intentional I feel that it is foolish.
