Despite what the subject header states, I cannot categorically state that
the MS update of 890175 has caused the following problem or not, but it was
round about the same time that I noticed it - and as far as I know, no other
changes had been made to the PC.
With KB890175 IE update installed successfully, my anti virus update no
longer downloads signature files from the net. I have no problem browsing to
the site, but the autodownload is unsuccessful.
Another fact I have noticed is that clicking on a link that will bring up a
new javascript run window - usually some sort of form to fill in - will only
open up as a blank window. Nothing further happens in the window.
With each of these types of failure, the URL visible in the address bar has
commands added to the site address for use by either the download or
javascript. Is there something in the KB891075 that could be blocking or
hindering this process?
Has anyone else noticed this problem or found a way around it.
