Antivirus Updates Can't Be Opened

Since the last time I updated Windows, I can no longer update my antivirus. I
receive the following message:"This patch package could not be opened. Verify
that the patch pkg. exists and that you can access it, or contact the
application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows installer package."
The computer now checks my A drive (floppy drive) in search of the update.
Since it is not there but has been downloaded from the internet, it is unable
to locate it.

Have you contacted your antivirus vendor? They're more likely to be able
to help you than this group... and you didn't even tell us which
antivirus you have...
