Hi all,

Currently, I have echange 2003, exchange 2007, and windows 2003 RD DC and
windows 2003 functional level. If I introduce windows 2008 R2 DCs, will the
08 R2 schema update affect the current envir.?

Thanks.

If there are only standard-schema changes made (Windows Server/Exchange
schema upgrade provided by Microsoft) there shouldn't be issues. If you
have the chance, I would test it in my test environment to be sure.

Cheers,

Hello John,

See "Active Directory Environment" about the limitations in the functional
levels in:

It will add additional attributes/objects to the domain itself. It will not
harm the existing env.
