Have seen only posts about problems with SP2. Is there anyone reading
this who has had successfully installed and run the latest release of
SP2?

best, Aaron

This the well known self-selection process at play.
People who successfully installed SP2 probably
don't even know this group exists.

Yes! I did my 3 PC's at home last night no problem (once I had turned off
the firewall that is). It takes ages even with Broadband and after I noticed
no effect at all except stupid thing telling me my virus guard was out of
date, but once that is turned off no difference at all.

The 85 at work I have tried, well that's a different story, aint gonna turn
the fire wall just for that.

Dial up users are never gonna do it!!!!

Yes; Installed in under 30 minutes from the CD rom, and computer all up and
running just like it was before the install.

Now I get to play with it.... ;-)

Hi,
I received SP2 on automatic updates over a week ago. Installed on Desktop
and Husband's Laptop.
Installation on both machines went like a dream. Thankfully no problems on
either machine. I guess we are two of the fortunate ones. And yes I do know
about this newsgroup, have been using it for over 6 months.

Regards

Hello,
No problems updating from home (using the admin pack).
First thing I noticed was that Nero 6 does not work under SP2.
I got a (free) update from http://www.nero.com/us/Release_Notes.html

I installed SP2 yesterday, it did take a long time to d/l even with our DSL,
approx 30 minutes. The update was about 80 megs. The installation went
without a hitch. I did all of the maintenance before installing that they
recommended. Disk cleanup, scandisk, and defrag. Shut down Zone Alarm
firewall, and disabled Norton. Everything is running as it should, and the
new Security Center is easy to change settings. I hope others are having the
same luck as I did.
