Any speedy way to update windows?

Windows XP has huge number of security fixes. Every time I reinstalled
Windows, I need to spend at least an hour for the windows update.

I really don't want to slipstream windows as new security fixes appear too
quickly.
It is also a pain to keep and manage the hotfix files manually.

Can anyone rescue me from the update hell? Or will Microsoft publish
slipstreamed XP in the coming future (before the release of sp3)

MS supplies some sp cd's at a 'postage cost'
Updates can be downloaded & burnt to cd
Slipstreaming the latest sp ensures you are reasonably up to date

Correct me if I am wrong.
But each cd contains update of a month only, but not the eariler release.
that's mean I need to keep 22 CD/DVD becauses of one CD sized Windows. Isn't
it horrible??

Why don't M$ supply slipstreamed Windows XP CD instead? So it saves everyone
from the update hell. (And may save the bandwidth cost of windows update
website as well)

Moreover, some updates will be outdated. Keeping the month ISO image doesn't
release me from the update hell.

Sorry, this post doesn't help. I have experience with all mentioned method
1)
http://www.msfn.org/board/HOTFIXES_W...00_t86450.html
I have visited this web before, but I found that the web doesn't update very
frequently

2) http://wud.jcarle.com/
Yah! I use this tool to download windows updates now and use a batch files
to run slient install automatically. But I prefer IE6 and still need to
download IE6 hotfixes manually.

3) Each month Microsoft releases that month's updates in ISO format - but
they *do not* go back as far as you might need. January 2006-current
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913086

I really don't want to keep 22 CD/DVD because of just one cd-sized Windows.
They may also contain outdated update

4) Other metioned method
Well, they are ALL manual method.

5) The best method I tried
Some nice guy makes a ALL-IN-ONE post-sp2 update pack, but it is available
in english only. English is not my mother tongue.

Hope that M$ will either supply one big all-in-one update pack (maybe SP3?)
or slipstreamed WinXP CD in the coming future.

Thanks anyway.

There is no speedy/easy way.
SP3 for WinXP when released will contain all updates up to it's release.
After that, it's back to the old fashion way.

M$ disappoint not only the security holes of their product, but also
customer/product support.
