Trig,
I'm sorry to hear that. You can usually download the latest device
driver versions directly from the device manufacturer's website. I would
recommend that you have the drivers all downloaded and saved on some
external media (ex: DVD or USB flash drive) to have handy after
installing Vista. This way you have them in case you do not have network
access at first.
Dependinf on what type of Vista you have, these tutorials will help
show you how to do a clean install with it.
