ANY Update Problems - Try This Microsoft HotFix!

Prerequisites:

You must have Windows XP SP2 installed before you apply this update.

Restart requirement:

You must restart your computer after you apply this update.

This update replaces the following update:

916089 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916089/) When you run Windows Update
to scan for updates that use Windows Installer, including Office updates, CPU
utilization may reach 100 percent for prolonged periods

After installing 927891, install the newly released 'standalone' version of
Windows Update Agent 3.0, v7.0.6000.374, for 32 bit machines (*not* Vista or
any x64 version of Windows!):

The MS update team believes that this solves all three svchost problems that
folks have been experiencing. See
