I've checked all my settings and the router etc nothings changed. But IE
has been noticeably slower especially on some sites.

Also getting the page error "sorry IE will close" routine. Again I cant find
anything obviously wrong. Checkdisk had no errors to report.

Anyone else getting this??

Nope.

Windows version? IE version?

Error message when you start Internet Explorer in Windows XP: "Microsoft
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience":

Sorry wasnt with it when I posted. Still using IE6 and the OS is XP pro.

I'm suspecting the answer is to go up to IE7. I've been holding off as a
few of the sites I ( banking included) still arnt coping with it.

Adaware, spybot and AVG all coming up clean. I shut down a few effects
settings but to be honest it hardly made any difference. Its driving me
potty - like swimming through treacle - not very technical but a good
description never the less.

[To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you include all of previous
message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup. Thank you.]

Do NOT upgrade to IE7 with this already-exisiting problem!!

What sites?

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to
