Anyone having problems with Search

Folks;

Found a good one. I like vista for the most part, but this one small bug
drives me crazy.

I click into the seach window. I type V. I then get a windows explorer
is restarting everytime. I do other searches for other programs email
etc works great. but try looking for "virtual" hoses explorer everytime.
Is this a feature. Or is their a KB with the answer. I couldnt find any
other similiar problems on the MS KB .

Hi Brian,

I can't repro this problem the way you describe, and have had no trouble
using search (regardless of where I initiate it from). There is a known bug
where if you hold down the WinKey+e, it will start a cascading stream of
explorer windows that is difficult to stop. I haven't seen it written into a
KB yet, nor is there a fix for this bug yet.

Thank you Rick for verifying on your end. Its kind of weird. Happens to
both me and another fellow at work. We both have vista business and new
Dell dimension 9200? Tried reinstalling vista from backup image. I
really love the instant search other then this small problem. Anyone
else seen something like this?

you gotta be kidding?

yeah pathetic search and performance degradation by horrid search services
is indeed by design.

Vista was created with crap as the model, and crap it became.
