Is anyone sleeping with Vista ?

For all you 680i users running Vista 32bit AND successfully using sleep
mode, please post your settings here... "Successfully" means that:

1. Your system actually wakes up and none of your devices, such as mouse,
keyboard, usb drives, bluetooth, and other devices, etc. are disconnected
and/or malfunctioning...

2. In particular, are you still connected to the internet without resetting
your network adapter (presuming you were connected before bedtime and
presuming you're using the on-board NIC)

Again, please post your chipset driver versions and sleep mode settings...

My settings are listed below and my system WON'T SLEEP "successfully"...

I sleep with the wife. At least she doesn't Blue Screen!

My Sleep functions are normal. I have a Dell Vostro 200 with Vista Business.
Many people see various sleep errors after a Disk Cleanup.
Since you did not mention trying this, have a read:
The hybrid sleep feature and the hibernation feature in Windows Vista may
become unavailable after you use the Disk Cleanup Tool :

Please don't do that when I'm having a cup of coffee. It is very difficult
to remove from the keyboard and the DVD drive.

Are your keyboard, mouse, and network adapter set to wake the computer?
Check these settings in "Device Manager".

be set to wake the computer.

Just out of curiousity... if you set all the input devices NOT to wake up
the computer... how do you wake it up ?

And there is a fix for this problem by the way...

Purchase a pci network adapter for about $15-$25... d-link, netgear, etc.
will do... disable the on-board NIC in the bios... install the new NIC and
bingo... Vista sleeps like a baby !

So much for nvidia chipsets... this MOBO... and WHQL drivers... well... so
much for vista too for that matter... and technical support...
fogettaboutit... my next system is going to be either Linux or a MAC... I'm
weary of windows...

Latest Bios - P04
Intel Core2 Duo E6600
4gb of PC8500 ram
Creative X-Fi soundcard
BFG 8800 GTS 640mb video card

System overclocked to 3.38 ghz.

Running original chipset drivers for this mb - 9.46
Video card drivers - 169.25

I dual boot, with 32 bit XP Pro, and Vista Ultimate 64 bit. ( rarely go into
XP any more ).

My system sleeps ( suspend to ram ), fine in both OS's.

I have a 650 chipset and my computer wouldn't sleep and the problem was
exactly what I said for you to check. It didn't make sense to me either.
