Got my Acer Vista Upgrade disc on Saturday, Tried to update yesterday and
had probs and had to revert to XP.

Seeing as I have had no problems with XP I might as well stick with XP.

However, is there any time limit on upgrading my laptop to Vista?

Also if necessary can I use the disc to give me a clean full install?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

You probably should ask Acer. We can guess but it is up to Acer what they
do with the install disks. Probably no time limit and you should be able to
do a clean install, but the process requires a large partition as some XP
files are wrapped up and left behind.

There should not be a limit since the activation is really in Microsoft's
hands, the license has be given to you through Acer which you now own.
