I currently use Vista Home Premium on a desktop and Vista Business on a
laptop. I am thinking of purchasing an anytime upgrades to take both to Vista
Ultimate. The versions I use now are currently both OEM. Now if I purchase
the upgrade will I get a Vista Ultimate OEM key or is it a retail key so if
one of my PCs die I can use the new key so avoid the OEM issues. And if I
have to reinstall the PCs that I currently have OEM versions installed on do
I have to install the version on the DVD first and then do the upgrade or
when I install just install and use the new key?

A. You would get a retail product key. And yes, you would have to reinstall
the original OEM version of Vista before using the Anytime Upgrade DVD.

Word of caution here.
If you need to re-install, you must first install the original OEM version
which is limited to a particular machine.
Once installed, you run the upgrade installation. (Yep, install twice.)
