Does an AOL user need a Passport account to and use WLM ? I want to set up a
video conference between an AOL user, a Yahoo Messenger user, and myself (a
WLM user). Will it recognize usernames/IDs and password from other services
Thanks for all replies.

The AOL User must install either Yahoo Messenger or WLM on his/her PC and
setup a Passport. The Yahoo Messenger User must ensure they have the latest
version of Yahoo Messenger with Voice.

Thanks, Cari. Does that mean that the AOL user must sign up for a Hotmail
account? I don't believe Yahoo has a Passport feature, right? Thanks again.

Greetings Barry,

No, Passports can be made using any e-mail address.

If using Yahoo, the user must sign up for a Yahoo ID.

Thanks, Jonathan. Let's see if I got this right. I use WLM and Hotmail, my
girlfirend has Yahoo but no Yahoo Messenger installed, and her daughter just
installed WLM (she is on AOL). For us to videoconference, you are saying
that the daugter needs to sign up for a Passport?

note: you can't video conference with more than one person at a time.

Hi,

Actually you can share your webcam with multiple people -- just not use voice.

Hi,

You'll all need to be using the same product to do anything with video. Given most of you
are using Windows Live Messenger, just use that.

In the main WLM sign in screen, there is a "Get a new account" link if one needs a Passport.
