I apologize; I like Vista

Greetings from (old) Europe
It's in a way very strange from this side of the Atlantic ocean to see how
people are insulting each other (Kevin is an idiot, Bill is a blockhead, Tom
is a paranoiac of a kind or something else, and so on; Vista is a bucket of
crap...)
As far as I am concerned, I did not come across any serious issue with Vista
that could not find quickly a solution.
My question is: why such a fuss against Vista? It may not be the best OS in
the world (which one is?) but it works.
Do the guys yelling that Vista is a pile of crap, bother to tweak around and
fix their machines?
Honestly, it's a mystery to me.
I'm not a Bill G.'s fan, but to speak the truth, Vista works with no problem
on my machine.
Shall I go and see a psy something?

Don't apologize - You're just a retard. Vista has problems, lots of
problems and if you can't see that, then you really are not using your
computer. It just sits there and you just glance at the screen. Just FYI.

You should make an appointment with your Psychiatrist right away. We are
afraid you will do something more stupid than you already have done.

Just FYI.

My only comment on your comments: you just haven't looked around enough
in Vista to find all the nagging irritations--believe me, they are there.

For something that's really stable and secure, it sure does get a lot of
traffic about problems. Lots and lots and lots and lots.

XP doesn't get nearly the traffic in their general group. Heck, even
adding 2 or 3 groups together doesn't have the same number of problem
posts. And it's used by 10 times more people than Vista.

I doubt you need to see a shrink. Maybe you just need to turn the machine
on to see the problems.

Most of the new computers sport Vista .. so the Vista group is getting all
the problems of teething new computers.

If you take away the flame threads, XP General gets more posts, most of
them related to XP (of all things, giggle).

You haven't begun to see the anarchy this group will have after all the
new Vista users who didn't know what Usenet is open their brand spanking
new Windows Mail and take a gander at the "Microsoft Communities" or
Redmond-speak for their little corner of Usenet.

Look how many Ubuntu threads and other nonsense you generate on your own.
Pretty funny if you ask me. You are one of the biggest flame generators
around. If we could harness your flame, we could light over 10,000 American
homes!

Salutations de vieille Australie :-)

Vous avez parlé sagement.

By my reckoning since 01 July 2007 there have been 5060 different posters to
m.p.w.vista.general. About 95% users each sent between 1 and 5 messages.
During the same period, a few individuals posted between several hundred, to
over a thousand messages, each. There is an unfortunate amount of static;
but it comes from a tiny handful of posters (around half a dozen), who
mainly respond to each other with empty rantings. The ~5,000 or so other
posters usually asked good questions, and often got useful answers. By and
large, this newsgroup offers a useful facility, in spite of a few idiots.

Salut,
