APPCRASH whenever I open Control Panel

Hi:

I recently upgraded from WinXP Pro to Vista Ultimate, and whenever I launch
the Control Panel -- regardless of whether I am Administrator or a regular
user -- I receive the following APPCRASH error and Explorer must restart.
Can anyone propose a solution?

I suddenly have the same problem.
Whenever I wamt to launch MEDIA PLAYER or MEDIA CENTER.

Have you found a sollution yet (I didn't)

Check the event log to see if it offers a module that is causing the
appcrash. Like as not this is being caused by a third party control panel
applet that was installed.

I've got a simular problem, but the module is ntdll.dll (MS's own).
Everytime I start an Explorer-window, no matter if it's Control Panel,
My computer, My documents or whatever, this error appears and Explorer
needs to restart. I can't do much with this OS if I can't open a
Window..!

Isn't it called WINDOWS Vista for that specific reason?

I have the same problem but just with control panel. Explorer works fine. My

i am having the same type of problem but windows explorer crashes when i
close the folder ( any windows folder) If anyone has a solution it would be
great. If i find one will post.
