Appearance of icons has changed

All the icons for saved documents, pictures etc and two desktop icons
have changed to now include a blue box in the bottom left hand corner
with two white chevrons inside it. It is really bugging me as it
obscures some of the icons especially in my pictures where some preview
pictures are very small. Please can anyone tell me why this has happened
and how to put it right?

The only recent change to the system was the installation of Norton
360.

Hope someone out there can help me.

And if you uninstall the Norton software, do the icons revert to their prior
state?

Thank you for you reply.

I went to uninstall Norton but a message came up saying if I
uninstalled it I would lose the remainder of my subscription so I didn't
carry on. I cannot say with any degree of certainty that the change
happened immediately after I installed Norton. It's just one of those
things that one day you look at and think they weren't like that before,
if that makes sense.
