What I want to know is how to get to the Appearance Settings box b
creating a Shortcut to the desktop

I just had a BSOD after installing some Windows Updates here, and los
my Aero desktop. I went into Vista Help and Support and found a link i
Help and Support which allows me to bring up my Desktop and Appearance
Settings boxes. However, somewhere in Help it says there is a
Apperances and Color or Apperances and Settings MCP in Control Panel
but I cannot find one in my Control Panel - either I am missing thi
control from Control Panel or I am not understanding what I should b
looking for in Control Panel - nevertheseless, even if I could find i
in Control Panel, I would like to be able to launch my Appearanc
Settings from a desktop shortcut. The only problem is, I do not kno
what the command or path would be to bring up the Apperance Setting
Box, if it was executed

So what I am asking for is the command syntax and path to bring up th
apperances settings box which is to be executed by a desktop shortcut

Thanks :

You can right click the desktop and click Personalize. That takes you to
Personalize appearance and sounds. You can also click Start - Control Panel.
Make sure in In Contol Planel Home not Classic View. Then click Appearance
and Personalization then click Personalization.

I should also add, that if you're in Classic View in Control Panel, just
click on Personalization.
