Hi,

Upon system restart, the same error messages always appear in my Application
Event Viewer.

For Event ID 1008, there are seven instances. There is an error message for
each of the following .dll's: bitsperf.dll, dfsrperf.dll, esentprf.dll,
secur32.dll, msdtcuiu.dll, pnrpperf.dll, and wmiaprpl.dll.

For Event ID 1010, there is always a single instance. It is for an error
message pertaining to emdmgmt.dll.

Looking back through the event viewer, it appears that this error activity
began after I installed a number of MS Office updates yesterday evening. (One
of the updates was for MS Silverlight.)

As suggested in another thread, I have already uninstalled MS KB931174, and
replaced wertargets.wtl.

I have read other threads suggesting resetting or unloading the counters
altogether. I thought I should check here before going to those measures.

I am also considering uninstalling the 11 updates that were applied
yesterday afternoon for MS Office.

Any suggestions about how to correct this recurring problem? Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff
