applications dont launch

I have a Sony VAIO Core2Duo laptop with 4GB RAM and Vista Home Premium
installed. After starting just 10-12 applications/Windows I am not able to
start any more. Vista dosen't hang but the apps dont start not even control
panel. Does anybody know whats going on?

Right-click on the Task Bar, and go into Task Manager.

Have a look what is going on!
