Hi, I just bought a Toshiba laptop that came with Vista. The only problem I
have noticed, and it's very annoying, is that sometimes for no reason the
application that I'm using minimizes to a small window and all the way to
the task bar. This happens when I click on something whithin the
application. This can happen in any application. Has anyone else
experienced this? Is there a solution? Thanks.

On my old VAIO you could set the trackpad to do this when you stroked down
along the left edge, if I remember correctly, and there were other shortcuts
to scroll and to close windows. If you search for Mouse in Control Panel,
you should be able to disable this feature, if it is confusing you.

Well, that might be the problem anyway..

ss.

My Toshiba had "tap zones" enabled on the track pad when I got it.
If you tapped the corners or dragged in from the corners it did things like
minimizing windows.
You need to go into the mouse properties and look in the advance synaptic
properties and turn them off or RTFM to see if you want to use them.
