April 11 updates won't work ....now what?

HI... When I tried installed the april 10-12 updates, my computer couldn't
connect to the internet.. (I tried install, uninstall on 2 separate
occasions...only affects my PC not my laptop)..

Now what do I do? How do I go about getting the necessary updates if WU is
always going to want to install one that mucks up my computer?

Which applications are running in the background while your
machines are installing the updates?

Which exact error messages did you receive?

Have you tried installing the updates step by step?

I usually close everything... Just my McAfee... Do you mean that I should
install them one by one, and reboot in between?

I haven't tried that... I get them automatically .

All the updates go in, I reboot and my computer (PC)works, but I can't
connect to the internet

The funny thing is that my PC uses an NVidia board, not Realtek; my Toshiba
laptop uses Realtek (LAN) and the updates work on my laptop w/o a problem

I turned of the McAfee and installed the updates
