April updates leave mouse dead

April updates kill my mouse. A system restore works, but I have to repeat
every day.

I had same problem and what worked for my particular problem was...... in
device manager under human interface devices it listed mouse there, with no
conflict, I changed the mouse to HID-compliant consumer control device and it
worked for me, theres a more complete fix process i used posted under
hardware and devices, "mouse not recognized after reboot following 4/8 patch"

Hope this helps, your not alone, lots of people having same problem.

Is there an alternative QFE since KB938371 is deemed mandatory?
