Article 822798 does not fix my 0x8007F0DA error in Windows 2003

I get repeated 0x8007F0DA errors in the windowsupdate.log file regardless of
whether I try to update automatically or by downloading and running the
patch. I have tried all the fixes in KB article 822798 but to no avail. Has
anyone any further ideas? I have a hunch that I am either missing some files
and/or have corrupted my catalogue - are there any tools to test / unscrew?

Any help appreciated.
